Change Requests - Multiple Lists and Views

Change Requests - Multiple Lists
Change Requests for a Project can be accessed multiple ways:
- From the lists of Contracts for the Project (so Contracts are accessed first from the Project Navigation Menu Option, then the Change Requests list is accessed from the Contracts List Navigation Menu).
- Directly from the Project Navigation Menu Option.
It can be accessed different ways to support whatever processes are being performed. For example, the first option above enables easy navigation between a Contract, Change Orders, Invoices and Change Requests.
Once the Change Requests list is accessed (from either method above), the functionality on the lists is the same.
When the help refers to accessing Change Requests from the:
- List of Contracts, the list is called: Contracts - List of all Change Requests.
- Project Navigation Menu Option, the list is called: Change Requests List
To choose the correct help, be aware of which list the function was invoked from.
If the help refers to both lists collective, it will refer to All Change Requests Lists.
Change Requests - Multiple Views
There are two different views available for All Change Requests Lists.
- Simple List View - displays one Row per Change Request.
- Grouped List View - displays one row for the change request then multiple rows below that for each Line Item on the Change Request Schedule of Values.
The Change Request Administrator sets which view applies for the entire organization (this can't be changed by individual users).
When the help refers to a list, it will also reference the View to which it is applicable.
- Simple List View
- Grouped List View
To choose the correct help, determine which View is applicable. See Change Requests Lists - Views Examples.
Help for Change Requests Lists
Because there are multiple ways Change Requests Lists can be accessed and then multiple ways how they are displayed depending on the View set, there may be multiple help on the same topics but specific to the way the list was accessed and then to the View that is set.
