Lock or Unlock a Budget
A budget can be locked so that the original budget values can’t be changed.
The Forecast to complete can still be changed. Commitments, subcontract change orders, Direct Costs, Invoices etc. will still be recorded against the budget line items.
Line items can still be added as well, however the budgeted value is not editable.
Budget Modifications can still be used to transfer values from one line item to another but the overall total budget won’t change.
The Budget can be locked/unlocked from the Budget List View.
To lock or unlock a Budget, from the Budget List View:
Click on the Lock Budget button.
OR
Click on the Unlock Budget button to unlock it.
