Change Request Line Items and Commitments (Grouped List View)
Associate Change Request Line Items to Commitments
This is help for associating Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items to Commitments or Commitment Change Orders Schedule of Values and for the Grouped List View. See Change Requests - Multiple Lists and Views for more information.
The association from Change Request Schedule of Value Line Item to Commitment or Commitment Change Order is created during the Add or edit of the Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item and is created by manually entering the Commitment or Commitment Change Order on that Line Item.
Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items can be associated to Commitments or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Value Line Items if the Change Request is in a Status that enables creating or maintaining the Schedule of Values (see Change Request - Status for more information).
Relationship and Display
When a Line Item is associated to the Commitments or Commitment Change Order it is a general relationship not a Line Item by Line Item relationship.
Change Request
The Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item will display the Commitment number to indicate it has been associated generally to a Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values Line Item.
Note* There will not be a green check mark as it isn't associated to an individual Line Item on the Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values.
The Commitment or Commitment Change Order on the Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item can be changed as long as the Change Request is in Status that enables editing (i.e. is not Approved, Void or Rejected). In the above example, it can be changed and is a drop down.
If it can't be changed, then it will not be editable, however the blue text can be clicked on to go to the Commitment or Commitment Change Order View/Edit form.
Commitment or Commitment Change Order
There will be no impact on the display of the Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values Line Item as there is no association at the Line Item level.
Process to associate Line Items on Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values
- Create or maintain the Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items.
- From the Change Request Add or Edit form on the Schedule of Values component, add or edit individual Line Items
- Click in the Commitment drop down to select a Commitment or Commitment Change Order to assign the Line Item to generally (i.e. not being associated to an actual Line Item on the Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values)
