Change Requests - Overview

Associate Change Request Line Items to a Commitment/Company

This is an overview for associating Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items to a Commitment and/or Company for the Grouped List View (see Change Requests - Multiple Lists and Views for more information on the view application to the organization).

Association means that there is a reference to a Commitment and/or Company from the Change Request Line Item but the Line Item is not actually created on the Commitment or Commitment Change Order. If the Commitment and Company is just an association, there are various ways they are used if the Line Item is created on a Commitment or Commitment Change Order (see Change Request - Schedule of Values - Line Item - Company and Commitment).

The association is manually entered during the add or edit of the Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item:

• A Company can just be selected without a Commitment being selected
• A Commitment can be selected. Once a Commitment is selected, the Company the Commitment is contracted to, automatically populates in the Company column.

Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items can be associated to a Commitment and/or Company if the Change Request is in a Status that enables creating or maintaining the Schedule of Values (see Change Request - Status for more information).

Display

Commitment or Commitment Change Order

The Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values Line Item will not be impacted by an association from a Change Request, therefore there is no impact on the display either.

Schedule of Values Component

During the add or edit of a Change Request, the Schedule of Values can be created, viewed or maintained via the Schedule of Values component.

The Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item will display the Commitment and/or Company to indicate it has been associated with a Commitment/Company (Note There will be NO green check mark displayed and it may be editable if the Change Request is in a Status that enables editing).

The following is an example of the display when the Change Request is in a Status that enables editing. The Company and/or Commitment can be clicked in and a drop down will display and the Company or Commitment can then be selected. Process to associate Line Items to a Commitment and/or Company

There is only one way to associate a Change Request Line Item to a Commitment and/or Company and that is through creating or maintaining the Change Request Schedule of Values.

1. Create or maintain the Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items (See Next Steps below).
2. From the Change Request Schedule of Value component, add or edit individual Line Items
   1. Click in the Commitment drop down to select a Commitment to associate the Line Item. If the Company is populated only the Commitments for that Company display. .The Company will automatically be populated with the Company the Commitment is contracted to
      OR
   2. Click in the Company drop down to select a Company. If the Commitment was populated but with a Commitment from a different Company it will be removed.
