Overview

Each project can have Inspections setup. They can be one-off inspections or they can be scheduled to occur throughout the life cycle of the project. There can be different types of Inspections.

Prior to creating an Inspection for a project, the Inspection Template must be setup first. Multiple Inspection Templates are setup for the different types of inspections done.

There are three main sections on a Template:

  • General Information - this information automatically pre-populates the General Information section of the Project Inspection. Most of the information can then be changed on the actual inspection.
  • Attachments - the attachments here are automatically setup as attachments on the Project Inspection. They can then be removed if required from the Inspection.
  • Inspection Items - The predefined list of Items to inspect and the response type i.e. the type of information that the inspector will document as the outcome of the inspection.

When an Inspection is created for a Project, an Inspection Template must be selected. All the General Information and the Attachments from the template are prepopulated on the Inspection. All the checklist items are setup on the form.

The Inspector will then respond to the checklist with a response as part of the Inspection process. The data will be recorded and can be reported on and or actions setup up to address.

Note* The Inspection Types must be created before creating Templates with those Types. see Settings - Inspections - Inspection Types.

At least one Inspection Template must be created before an Inspection can be created.
