Inspection Schedule Overview

When creating Inspections, the Inspection form can be manually created on or prior to the Inspection Date. (See New Inspection for more information.

Alternatively, an Inspection can be scheduled to be automatically created.

This can be a one-time Inspection creation or it can re-occurring Inspection creations.

One-time Inspection creations may be scheduled if it is known early on when an Inspection needs to take place (according to the Schedule such as when a milestone activity is completed). However, the Project Manager may not want to create the Inspection until closer to that date, so the Inspection can be scheduled to be created automatically closer to the Inspection date and people assigned to the Inspection will receive notifications (again closer to the date of the actual inspection).

Inspections may also be re-occurring. In this case, schedules can be setup to automatically create those Inspections when needed (such as daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly).

Notifications can be setup so that when Inspections are created, the assignee and the people on the distribution list are automatically notified. See Inspections - People - Notifications for more information.

To setup a Schedule for an Inspection

  1. From the Inspections List, (see Inspections List - Accessing), click the Schedules button.

The Inspection Schedules form displays. If there are any previous Schedules setup, they will be listed.
