Project Contact - Notifications
The Project Contact - Notifications form is where notifications specific to this contact and this project can be viewed and/or edited.
This form can be invoked from different places. See above.
The User/Contact name and the project name is listed at the top of the form (as that is what the Notifications displayed apply to).
There is also text to indicate where the Project Notifications settings are coming from:
- Inherited (uses the default notifications assigned to the User Type)
- Overridden (specific notifications for this contact for this project)
The form will differ slightly depending on where the Project Notifications settings are coming from.
Each Project Notification type is explained below along with an option to revert from Overridden back to Inherited.

Inherited
If the settings are Inherited, the Project Notifications form indicates that, there is an Override button and all the current notification settings have greyed out text and can't be changed.
To override the Inherited settings
- Click on the Override button
The form changes to Overridden and the notifications text is black and now can be changed.
Overridden
If the settings are Overridden, the Project Notifications form indicates that, there is an Revert to Inherited button and all the notification settings are enabled and can be changed.
- To toggle a notification setting on or off, click on the slider bar or the slider bar text
- If it is green, the notification is turned on
- If it is grey, the notification is turned off

- Click Save when the notifications setting have been made
OR
Click Cancel to cancel the changes.
OR
Click Revert to Inherited to revert the Project Notification settings to the default for this type of user. (See Inherited above).
