Default Work Retainage
The default percentage held back from the value of labor or work-in-place billed on each invoice for this purchase order. The withheld amount is held back until the terms of the order are met, typically completion or acceptance of the work.
This is a default only and can be changed on each Purchase Order Invoice Line Item.
For a Purchase Order, the Default Work Retainage % can be set. When an Invoice is created, this Default Work Retainage % is automatically populated into each Invoice Schedule of Values Line Item as the Work percentage to retain. It can be changed on each individual Invoice Line Item (it is just the default).
For more information on where the Default Work Retainage is used, see Commitments - Fields - Usage and Configuration.
Users that have Add, Edit or Admin permissions can enter, change or remove the Default Work Retainage % on the Purchase Order.
Changing the default won't impact any existing Invoice Schedule of Values Line Items. It only impacts new ones created.
This help assumes the New Purchase Order form OR the Purchase Order - View/Maintain form is displayed with the General component selected (see Suggested Prior Reading above).
