Create and Manage RFQs

RFQs are created for Line Items from the Change Request Schedule of Values.

Once the RFQ is created, they are managed from RFQ lists. Note, RFQs can not be added from the RFQ lists, they can only be maintained there. See below for more information.

Create RFQs

There is an Administration setting that defines how RFQs can be created from Change Requests. See Change Requests - Multiple Lists and Views for more information on that setting and what is set for the organization.

Regardless of the above setting, RFQs can be created (and sent to Subcontractor or Vendor) via the the Change Request - View/Edit form. See Change Request - Schedule of Values - Bulk Actions - Send RFQs.

In addition, if the Grouped List View is on, creating and sending RFQs can also be done from the:

  • Change Request List
  • OR
  • Contracts - List of all Changes Requests

See All Change Request Lists - Bulk Actions - Send RFQs for more information

During the Create and Send process, the Company/Contact is selected to send the RFQ to and the RFQ is created and sent to them automatically.
