Create Change Request Line Items on Commitments
This is help for creating Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items on Commitments or Commitment Change Orders Schedule of Values and for the Simple List View. See Change Requests - Multiple Lists and Views for more information.
Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items can be created on Commitments or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Value Line Items if the Change Request is in any Status (see Change Request - Status for more information).
Relationship and Display
When the Line Items are added to the Commitments or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values from the Change Request Schedule of Values, there is a Line Item to Line Item association automatically created.
Change Request
- The Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item will display the Commitment number with a green check mark to indicate it has been associated to a Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values Line Item. (The blue text can be clicked on to go to the Commitment or Commitment Change Order View/Edit form).
The Commitment or Commitment Change Order on the Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item can not be changed or removed once the association is created. The only way to remove the association is to delete the Line Item on the Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values. If this is done, the Commitment or Commitment Change Order will be removed from the Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item (however, the Company will not change).
Commitment or Commitment Change Order
- The Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values Line Item will have an blue asterisk before the Line Item number to indicate it is from a Change Request.
The following is an example of the display when the Commitment or Commitment Change Order is in a Status that does not enable editing.
The following is an example of the display when the Commitment or Commitment Change Order is in a Status that enables editing.
In either case, the Line Item copied from the Change Request Schedule of Values can not have the Parent/Sub (if applicable), the Cost Code or the Cost Type changed. Nor can it be edited to un-associate it from the Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item. To un-associate it from the Change Request Schedule of Values Line Item, the Line Item on Commitment/Commitment Change Order would need to be deleted.

Processes to create Line Items on Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values
There are multiple ways to create the Contract Change Order Schedule of Values from the Change Request Schedule of Values.

During the Creation or Maintenance of a Commitment Schedule of Values
1. Create or maintain the Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items.
2. Create or maintain a Commitment (Subcontract or Purchase Order).
3. For the Commitment Schedule of Values select the option to automatically add all the Line Items from the Change Request Schedule of Values.

During the Creation or Maintenance of a Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values
1. Create or maintain the Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items.
2. Create or maintain a Commitment Change Order (a Subcontract Change Order or a Purchase Order Change Order).
3. For the Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values select the option to automatically add all the Line Items from the Change Request Schedule of Values.

During the Creation or Maintenance of a Change Request Schedule of Values
1. Create or maintain the Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items.
2. From the Change Request Add or Edit form on the Schedule of Values component, select the one or more Schedule of Values Line Items.
3. Create the selected Line Items on an existing Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values (they will match the Line Items on the Change Request Schedule of Values that were selected).
OR
Create a new Commitment or Commitment Change Order and create the selected Line Items on the new Commitment or Commitment Change Order Schedule of Values (they will match the Line Items on the Change Request Schedule of Values that were selected).
