Applies to Budget Code
One of the options for Financial Markup is determining where the markups display and how they are calculated. See Financial Markup - Calculation and Display for more information on all the options.
If the Applies to Budget Code option is turned on, then a separate line item is created on the Schedule of Values to display the Financial Markup.
The Applies to Budget Code option over-rides the other calculation and display option Vertical (see Financial Markup - Vertical for more information on that option).
All the information on the Line Item that displays the Financial Markup is automatically calculated and set and can not be edited.
Once this setting is turned on and the Schedule of Values is saved, it can not be edited and turned off.
Example of a separate line item on the Schedule of Values
The following is an example of the Applies to Budget setting being turned on.
Calculation for Line Item #1 - Markup = $1,000.00 x 5% = $50.00 (not displayed on the line item - just calculated)
Line Item #1 - Subtotal = $1,000.00 (just the Amount - does not include the markup)
Calculation for Line Item #2 - Markup = $125.00 x 5% = $6.25 (not displayed on the line item - just calculated)
Line Item #2 - Subtotal = $125.00 (just the Amount - does not include the markup)
Line Item #3 - Amount = total of the Markup Values = $50.00 + $6.25 = $56.25
Line Item #3 - Subtotal = $56.25 (just the Markup total amount - does not include taxes)
Subtotal for Schedule of Values = $1,000.00 + $125.00 + $56.25 = $1,181.25 (Subtotal of all the line items including the markup line item)
