To Delete an Existing Change Request

This is help for deleting an existing Change Request from the Change Requests List.

Note* There are multiple ways to access Change Requests and multiple views that can display, see Change Requests - Multiple Lists and Views for more information. This help is for the Grouped List View.

Only Change Requests with a certain status can be deleted. See Change Requests – Status for more information.

To delete a Change Request, it must first be viewed/edited and then the delete function invoked from the View/Edit form.

Note* If Line Items on the Change Request Schedule of Values have been assigned to Contract Change Orders, Commitments or Commitment Change Orders, the association will be removed with the deletion of the Change Request and the Change Request Schedule of Value Line Items can then be associated to other Contract Change Orders, Commitments or Commitment Change Orders. See Assign Change Request Line Items to Contracts and Commitments - Overview (Grouped List View) for more information.

  1. Access the Change Request - View/Edit form, see Change Requests List - Change Request - View/Edit (Grouped List View). Note* The following shows the Edit function invoked by double clicking on the Change Request row.

The Change Request - View/Edit form displays.

The General component displays by default after the edit is initiated but other Components can be switched to via the Form Navigation Menu Options. See Change Request – View/Edit - Form Layout and Navigation for more information.

The Change Request can be deleted from any of the Components; General, Schedule of Values, Financial Markups or RFQs.

At the bottom, left hand side off the Change Request - View/Edit form is a Delete button that displays (as long as the Change Request is in a Status that allows deleting. If the Status doesn't allow deleting, the Delete button does not display). This button displays regardless of what Component is selected.

  1. From any of the Components, click the Delete button.

A confirmation prompts appears confirming that Delete.

  1. Click the Delete button to delete the Change Request. The Change Request List displays.
    OR
Click the Cancel button to cancel the delete. The Change Request - View/Edit displays, see Change Requests List - Change Request - View/Edit (Grouped List View).

Next Steps
