Edit the Status of the RFQ to Pricing

This is help for changing the status of an existing RFQ to the Pricing Status.

An RFQ in any Status can be changed to Pricing (See RFQ – Status for more information). Note* The Pricing Status is also automatically set, when the Request for Quote is sent to a Subcontractor/Vendor (see RFQ - View/Edit - Send Request).

To change the Status to Pricing

  1. Initiate the edit of the RFQ. It can be invoked from the
List of RFQs for a specific Change Request, see Change Request Specific RFQs - View/Edit
    OR
List of RFQs for all Change Requests, see Change Requests - List of all RFQs - View/Edit
The RFQ - View/Edit form displays. The layout and navigation of this form depends on what the current status of the RFQ is.
Click here for more information on the Layout and Navigation of the form for each Status

For RFQs in a Closed Status, see RFQ - View/Edit - Layout and Navigation - Closed Status for more information.
  2. Click in the Status drop down and change the Status.
Note* The following shows changing the Status from Draft to Pricing but the steps are the same for whatever Status the RFQ is currently in.
As soon as the Status is changed, the form is saved with the Pricing Status and the Layout and Navigation of the form changes to the Pricing Layout. See RFQ - View/Edit - Layout and Navigation - Pricing Status.
  1. A prompt appears asking if the Request is to be sent to the Company/Contact.
    1. Click the Yes button to send the Request to the Company/Contact. See RFQ Emails - Request for Quote for a sample of the email sent.
      OR
    2. Click the No button to not send the Request to the Company/Contact.
Regardless of whether or not the Request is sent to the Company/Contact, the form is already saved and the Status is already set to Pricing.
