Commitments - Overview

 

Overview

To access and manage information about Commitments; including any Commitments Change Orders and Invoices; from the Project navigation menu, click Commitments. 

The Commitments List View appears and Subcontracts and Purchase Orders are listed according to the list view default settings applied. (Users may change the default settings). 

The top of the Commitments list displays the total values for the Project of the following:

·       Pending

·       Projected

·       Committed

See Commitments – Calculated Totals for the items and the status of those items that are added into each of the above.

Below the totals, is the Commitments form navigation menu options:

·       Commitments – shows ALL Commitments for the project

·       Change Orders - shows ALL Change Orders for all Commitments

·       Invoices - shows ALL Invoices for all Commitments

The row below the text menu options is where the list of Commitment can be searched or filtered on. Commitments can be filtered by Type and/or Status.  See Filtering the Commitments List

The form can have its settings modified to be applied each time the form is opened to:

·       By default show only Commitments with certain types or statuses

·       By default, change the number of Commitments that display per page

·       Show different columns of information

There are buttons to Add a New Commitments directly from the form as well as export the information to an Excel spreadsheet.

 

Steps

Click on the text to toggle between the different lists. The currently selected list will have the text highlighted in blue.

Note* Accessing the Change Orders or Invoices from the navigation options on this form, shows lists with options for showing ALL Change Orders and Invoices for ALL Commitments (although filters can still be applied on those lists). From each individual Commitment, just those Change Orders and Invoices for that Commitment can be viewed as well. See the Next Steps below for options on doing that.
